Manufacturing of Pipes for Manufacturers
PTI A/S offers welding in stainless steel for the purpose of manufacturing pipes that need to be assembled from multiple parts. The production of stainless steel pipes typically occurs in conjunction with the outsourcing of production to our company.
PTI’s employees are specialists in welding stainless steel, which allows us to deliver pipe components of first-class quality, at a competitive price, with short delivery times, and on schedule.
We can perform many types of welding in stainless steel:
Welding in stainless steel of parts can include, for example:
- Valves
- Bends
- Branch connections
- Instrument pockets
- Assembly fittings (unions, clamp collars, etc.)
Depending on the task, welding in pipes is performed either on a circumferential seam welding machine with an orbital head or as manual welding.
All welds are pickled after welding in stainless steel. Pickling can be done locally around the welds or by immersing the entire item in a pickling bath.
PTI A/S can also offer engraving of serial numbers, batch numbers, etc., ensuring total traceability down to each individual weld in stainless steel.
Welding Clamp Collars on Flexible Pipes,
PTI A/S manufactures flexible pipes for the wind turbine industry. The flexible pipes have a wall thickness of 0.4 millimeters. Clamp collars with a thickness of 1.6 millimeters are welded onto the ends.
PTI A/S has developed a method to join the two material thicknesses, ensuring that there is no burn-through of the thin-walled flex pipe.
After welding, all pipes are pressure tested, after which drawing numbers, serial numbers, etc., are engraved.
Stainless Steel Pipes for the Food Industry
PTI A/S manufactures pipes for the food industry. The pipes are made for manufacturers who supply special machinery to the food industry but have outsourced welding in stainless steel and pipe production to us.
The pipes that PTI A/S manufactures can be simple straight pipes with standard clamp collars welded on, but the pipes can also be bent and have numerous side branches. There are many possibilities with welding in stainless steel.
