Water Jet Cutting System for All Materials
PTI A/S possesses a water jet cutting system capable of producing the most incredible shapes and forms in nearly all materials through efficient water cutting. Water jet cutting opens new possibilities in terms of design choices, materials, efficiency, and productivity. Additionally, it is suitable for both small and large series production. We, of course, deliver throughout Denmark.
Material Properties Remain Unaffected by Water Cutting
The advantage of water jet cutting is that it occurs in a cold state. This type of cutting preserves the material properties, as there’s no heat-induced damage. Furthermore, water cutting can be performed on much thicker plates than, for example, laser cutting.
The technical specifications of our water cutting system are:
- Maximum plate thickness: Approximately 100 millimeters thickness.
- Maximum cutting area: 4000 x 2000 millimeters.
- Cutting head: 1: 90°, perpendicular to the plate.
- Drawings: DXF file.
Water cutting can be performed on everything from rubber to steel
The technology behind water jet cutting originates from the high-pressure pump, where the water is pressurized and then pumped out to the cutting head. The cutting is done with water jets, but garnet is added for cutting through very hard materials. This allows for water-sanding through virtually all materials.
