Small Scale Filling and Bottling Solutions

PTI A/S collaborates with machine suppliers from around the world. We have suppliers who specialize in packaging machines/lines with relatively low capacity at an economically attractive price and good quality.

The machines are especially suitable for:

• Start-up companies.
• Specialties in smaller productions.
• Test and trial productions.

The capacity is typically up to 1,000-2,000 units/hour.

The concept is built around “stand-alone units” that can easily be assembled into
complete, functional production lines.

The machines meet the requirements of several types of industries, including the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.

The quality is ensured by an initial FAT test at the manufacturer and a second FAT test at PTI A/S in Denmark, where the machines are systematically reviewed and CE marked by PTI A/S before delivery.

Filling and Dosing Machines

Gear Fillers:

• Controlled gear pump; for easily flowing products; no/small particles.

• Semi-automatic table models: 40-4,000 ml/filling, 50-250 ml/sec.
• Automatic in-line models: Number of filling heads adapted to needs,
  50-5,000 ml/filling, up to 40 units/min.

Piston Fillers:

• Piston pump with controlled stroke length; for viscous products; small particles.

• Semi-automatic table models: 50-200 ml/filling, 30-150 ml/sec.
• Automatic in-line models: Number of filling heads adapted to needs,
  50-5,000 ml/filling, up to 30 units/min.

Overflow Fillers:

• Filling to a specific level in bottles; for easily flowing products; no particles.

• Semi-automatic table models: 50-5,000 ml/filling, 50-250 ml/sec.
• Automatic in-line models: Number of filling heads adapted to needs,
  50-5,000 ml/filling, up to 40 units/min.

Tablet/Capsule Fillers:

• Counts the tablets and fills them into packaging; tablets up to ø40 mm.

• Semi-automatic table models: 600-1,000 tablets/min.

• Automatic in-line models: 1 or 2 filling heads, 600-2,400 tablets/min.

Labeling Machine

• Labeling on: side, top, bottom, wrap around, front and back, and 3-sided.
• Labeling machine for round, flat, oval, or square bottles/glasses.
• Combination machines for e.g., top+wrap around or top+side.
• Special machines for e.g., lipsticks, pencils, SD cards, and injection syringes.
• Available as:
  • Table models – up to 30 units/min.
  • Automatic In-line models – up to 40 units/min.

Automatic Bottle Cleaner

• Extra safety against foreign objects in bottles/glasses.
• Used for new/cleaned bottles, where there is a risk of dust, plastic residues, etc.
• Blows clean with compressed air and sucks away contaminated air with vacuum.
• Can also be performed with water rinsing.
• Up to 30 bottles/min.

Round Tables

• Used at the start and end of production lines.
• Buffer that supplies empty bottles, glasses, etc., to a production line.
• Buffer that takes filled bottles/glasses from a production line.

Cap Screwing Machines

• Application of ROPP, screw caps, stoppers, caps, lids with dispenser, caps for vials, etc.
• Cap sizes from ø20 to ø120.
• Available as:
• Semi-automatic table models – up to 30 units/min.

• Automatic In-line models – up to 40 units/min.
• Available with or without automatic cap placement.

Examples of Production Lines

Extra Compact Filling Line for Small Bottles and Vials

• Economically attractive solution for small/medium productions of liquid food and non-food products.
• The shown filling line consists of a dosing unit, filling unit with integrated handling of empty bottles, cap screwing, and labeling machine.
• Designed for vials and small bottles (up to ca. 200 ml) within the production of food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and other non-food products like liquid hand soap, etc.
• The dosing unit can be disconnected from the line and used for filling other
• packages such as Bag-in-box bags, jugs, etc.
• Caps are manually placed, which allows for great flexibility in cap design.
• The labeling machine applies a side label to the bottle.
• Capacity up to ca. 15 units/min.
• The line is compact enough to fit on a standard table!

Bottle Filling Line for Small and Large Bottles

• An economically attractive solution for smaller productions of liquid food and non-food products.
• The shown filling line consists of a round table for empty bottles, a 6-head overflow bottle filler, ROPP cap application, and a labeling machine, plus a round table
• for buffering filled bottles.
• It is designed for filling bottles (size tailored to the task) within the production of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other non-food products like liquid hand soap, etc.
• The capacity is up to about 30 units/min.

Filling Line for Tablets in Cups

• An economically attractive solution for smaller productions of tablets and capsules in cups.
• The shown filling line consists of an unscrambler for empty cups, a double counting unit, cap screwing, and a labeling machine.
• It is designed for counting/filling of bottles/cups within the production of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, and other non-food products such as dishwasher tabs, etc.
• The capacity depends on tablet size and quantity per unit. It can count up to 2,000 tablets/min and/or up to 40 cups/min.
